ASTM A709 GR.50W steel plate

ASTM A709-50W is a standard specification for structural steel primarily in the fabrication of steel bridges. ASTM A709-50W covers high strength, low allow steel structural shapes, plates and bars. The atmospheric corrosion resistance of this steel in most environments is substantially better than carbon steel with or without copper addition.

Product information

High strength low alloy steel plate ASTM A709GR.50W also named as weathering steel plate A709 Grade 50W in advantage of its property in atmosphere corrosion resistance. According to the different main chemical elements contains, A709 Grade 50W was divided as A709Gr50w type A, A709Gr50w type B, A709Gr50w type C.These three steel grades are equivalent to specification ASTM A 588/A 588M A588 Grade A,A588 Grade B and A588 Grade C.Low alloy steel plate A709 Grade 50W also owned the same minimum limited yield strength at 345 Mpa as A709 Grade 50 steel plate.
A709 Gr.50W weathering steel plates, which is famous for its property in atmosphere corrosion resistance. A709 Grade 50W steel plates are widely used in construction machinery, mining machinery, truck, bridges, pressure vesselsstructures building etc.,
